He was born and brought up in Mumbai and started setting records early in his childhood when he topped the Pune Board Centre, breaking all the records of Chacha Nehru School. He completed his graduation from Lala Lajpat Rai College, Mumbai. Filled with the passionate curiosity to see the paternal town, he came to Sanctum in 1983. His love for motherland and zeal for improving the education level of his paternal town, led him to start a mission in 1983, called GYAN KUTIR. Least satisfied with the level of school education in the town he undertook a mission and with the help and support from his wife Mrs Nirja Modi, started an ultra modern Day Boarding School called Sanctum Academy in 1993. Today he is the Chairman of Sanctum International Ventures for Educational Marvel which has more than 5000 students studying under various institutions managed by the group with an employee profile of 400, four self constructed buildings of more than 1.80 lac sq.ft. built up area and a caravan of 85 school buses.
